How does Barack Obama get awarded to Nobel Peace prize? Sure he has extended the “hand of America” to other countries, but has not changed policy in anyway. America is the most despised country in the world, and even if you put a mask on on the face of America to disguise our true nature, we still have out true nature of invening in others’ business and playing “world police.” And on a final note, how did Obama get the Nobel Peace Prize for trying to make the world better, when he is considered to have the worst Foreign Policy Policies of any US President in modern US history?

September 16, 2009The Legalization of Marijuana and Its Possible Affect on Our Economy
As the American economy continues to decline, United States citizens are looking for something that can improve the current situation of reduced economic activity. Since our country entered a recession in 2007, due to the problems with subprime mortgage and other lending issues, customer confidence has reached a low that our society has not experienced since the 1980s. A possibility that might allow the economy to rebound and rejuvenate, would the legalization of marijuana. Many states have already started the process of decriminalizing marijuana—allowing it to be grown, sold, and carried in small quantities by people with the proper credentials and prescriptions. If the government would subsidize the growth and distribution of marijuana, much like they do with milk, cream, corn, and other cash crops, the United States could benefit from revenue that marijuana subsidization and taxation could produce. The current domestic production of marijuana, both legally and illegally grown, is in excess of twenty billion dollars (Schlosser).
While the taxation of marijuana sales could create large revenues for the federal government, there are a fair amount of people that oppose its legalization. Opponents of its legalization say that marijuana, aside from its beneficial medicinal purposes, is a “stepping stone” or “gateway” drug. And once that someone tries it, they will want to move on to drugs that are more addictive and dangerous.

The Legalization of Marijuana
As the American economy continues to decline, United States citizens are looking for anything that can improve the current situation and bring them back to the booming ‘dot com’ days in the mid to late nineties. Many states have already started the process of decriminalizing marijuana—allowing it to be carried and sold in small quantities. But if the government would subsidize the growth and distribution of marijuana, much like they do with milk and cream, the United States could benefit from the growing and distribution of marijuana. The current domestic production of marijuana, which is illegally grown, is in excess of $35 billion (Citation).
Being one of many that would like to see the economy rebound and prosper, the legalization, taxation, and distribution of marijuana could very well help the United States of America get back to its booming economic days. Not only would the legalization of marijuana have an effect on the economy, it could benefit others: from the use of its beneficial medicinal purposes to it helping lower crime rates that are directly correlated with current illegal distribution. But there are some negatives to legalizing marijuana too. Marijuana is often called the “stepping stone” drug, once that someone tries it, they will want to move on to drugs that are more addictive. Another is the lack of motivation that is an affect of the use of marijuana, which may very well prohibit the effectiveness of workers.
